 Daylight Savings Time Returns This Week!

Every Spring we move our clocks one hour ahead and "lose" an hour during the night and each Fall we move our clocks back one hour and "gain" an extra hour.
The phrase "Spring forward, Fall back" helps people remember how Daylight Saving Time affects their clocks. At 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March, we set our clocks forward one hour ahead of Standard Time ("Spring forward").
We "Fall Back" at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November by setting our clock back one hour and thus returning to Standard Time.

 Zion Park District Opens Batting Cages, March 13th
Open Baseball in the Sports Arena at the
Zion Park District Leisure Center:
Starting Saturday March 13 the Sports Arena will have open times in our baseball and softball batting cages along with open area for pitching, catching and throwing. The fee to enter will be $5.00 per person. Batting cages will be open and we will allow all batters to have a turn at 30 pitches and then rotation. Hours are from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. These sessions are included for Sports Arena and Fitness Studio members.
Youth Baseball Clinic:
Instruction in basic baseball skills will be covered in this clinic for players from age 5-10. Bring your glove to prepare for the upcoming baseball season. The session is on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 am. Current session runs til March 20. Session II runs April 10- May 8.
Fees: $15.00 R and $20.00 NR. At the Zion Park District Leisure Center Sports Arena. |

Toys for Tots Appreciation Plaque
The Zion Park District Board of Commissioners (Duncan Henderson, Mike McDowell, Dave Labelle, Gordy Ohmstead and Edna Zoephel) and Marilyn Krieger the Supertintendent of Recreation accept
a plaque presented to the Zion Park District from Staff Sargeant Steve Bancroft, Weapons Company 2/24 in appreciation for support of the 2009 Toys for Tots Campaign. The Zion Park District is the distribution center for Toys for Tots in Zion Illinois.he Zion Park District Board of Commissioners
