Satan's Folly

     As the earth became more populated, the meetings after Lucifer’s fall from heaven were becoming progressively different from the earlier ones. This was another mandatory meeting between Lucifer and his fallen angels after they had sided with Lucifer. They had all gotten kicked out of heaven by their own choice with him for his conceit and jealousy over God’s power. All the demons noticed with each such meeting, they were being inspired to take on a heightened sense of urgency.

     “I’m dividing you into groups and each group will have a specialty. There will be warring demons. Your job is to create wars and unrest all over the globe as much as you can.

    “Greed demons; you are to make people in every level of society covet and be concerned about acquiring as much for themselves as possible, especially material things. Concentrate on making this attitude so acceptable that it becomes the norm and is not frowned upon. The greedy will care mainly about themselves and their acquisitions. Greed is the most dangerous thing of all for humans to feel and possess because it will cause and catapult all the rest of evil things. It will be key to the warring demons' mission and be the source of continuous unrest and evil. It will take hearts off God and also people. It will make people always want more, so they will ignore relationships and family and even in their abundance, they will pay no attention to those in need.
     "Strife demons, this is where you come in. They will be willing to do anything and cause any suffering to acquire more in their  greed. Where their main concerns are, their hearts will also be, as Jesus Himself said. Focusing on man is good, but on governments is that much better because it will cause strife on national and international scales while it affects people individually. So work  both on individuals and also closely with the warring demons by putting greed into people’s hearts that eventually causes conflict.

      “Parapsychology demons: “You are to generate false memories about absurd things that cause people to wonder about and accept; things like remembering being captured by space aliens, living past lives as in reincarnation, which I will further explain.

      “Demons of Necromancy, you are to perpetuate beliefs in ghosts; something strongly forbidden in Deuteronomy 18:10-14, meaning sorcery, astrology, magic or any form of witchcraft and divination Deut 12:31 also speaks strongly against these practices, calling them detestable things the Lord hates. We’re banking on people not reading or knowing the Bible. That’s our only hope. Any fascination people show for these things such as ghost walks, séances, fortune telling, psychics, Ouija boards will be an invitation for your presence and we are not a group that ever turns down an invitation. This goes even for people who are just participating out of youth, curiosity or naiveté. They are all fair game for us too, simply by their presence there because they have opened themselves up to us. Remember too, that there are always the people who profess to be Christians, but then treat the Bible like a cafeteria line, picking and choosing what they want and leaving the rest behind. These people are great prey for us because they give us something to work with.

      “So you will supply information to mediums about a departed person, which they can then convey to that person’s loved ones to convince them the medium is really communicating with their departed human spirit. You can use any tool to be convincing; even imitate their loved one’s voice and copy their mannerisms. I’ve given you the power to manifest in the form of a ghost or apparition and create noises and voices and move things. Just hope people haven’t read 2 Chronicles 34:28, Luke 16: 26 and Job 14:21, which says that after the physical death, man will have no awareness of what is going on in the physical world.* And Hebrews 9:27 says that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this is the judgment. Things like this are why it’s best for us if people don’t know the Bible. Mediums will most likely utter something about a departed person’s spirit being afraid to cross over, but we know that a spirit crosses over immediately with no lingering or choice in the matter. Believe it or not, there are some people who don’t believe that, or are at least willing to believe otherwise simply because they want so much to have contact with their loved one. We prey on that.

     “Demons of false religions,* this is limitless. You have a lot of creativity here; just make sure to take the focus away from the true God. You can twist God’s word, even by dwelling on one verse that you take out of context, like causing people to worship with snakes or hate their parents. You can hit the ego-maniacs who love having control. They must have the power and inclination to have people see them as the Messiah or even a great, knowing leader whose word their followers hang on. You have a lot of leeway here. Have fun with it.”    

    “Pornography demons, here’s what you are to do. Get as many as you can to become crazed with sex and immorality to the point they think of little else and do all sorts of weird, immoral things with no regard for anyone else. Demons of greed, you can help here, in that you can make them greedy and lustful for this lifestyle so as to crave anything perverted. This will make others miserable too.”

      After the meeting went on and many other demonic orders were named, some gathered in small groups to chat among themselves.

     “He said he was going to take man down and I think he means it,” said Rot.

     “Well, he’s sure gonna try. Lucifer is determined to show God that he’s more powerful and the only way he can do it is to show man too, then get man to believe in his wiles” Filth replied.

     ‘That was a great start, what he did with Adam and Eve, don’t you think?” Conniving jeered.

     “Yes, we’re certainly on the right track,” Belch muttered.

     “We’re all condemned to this fiery pit, so we may as well try to take as many as possible with us,” Stench agreed.

     “Yes, that’s Lucifer’s strategy. But a holy cow?” Convincing, a demon of false religion mocked. “Who would ever believe their ancestors came back in the form of cattle? That’s too bazaar. How am I going to pull that one off--and base a whole religion on it yet?”

     “That thing about reincarnation and influencing people to think they lived in another form or time, only to return to a different form or person after they die; how will I ever find anyone gullible enough to go for that?” Oppressor muttered. “It sounds impossible.”

     “Just try it. It might catch on,” Deception offered. “If you can get one to believe it, another will follow until you have a whole multitude. It's a nation of sheep you know.  Lucifer will help you. He has everything to gain. He has to know the Bible well and he does, so he can know how to counter it.”

     “It’s about the same as finding people to believe someone who perpetuates those preposterous theories about man evolving from ape or the world forming from some scientific explosion unrelated to God, or humanity resulting from a fish,” offered Callous.

     “Yes, but God is science,” reasoned Conniving. “It’s our job to make people separate the two and not let them know that. It takes more faith to believe in those stupid, illogical things than the truth, so if we can make them believe that, they will believe anything else we throw at them. And don’t you think it’s crazier for people to believe in ghosts than what those believers are accusing Bible believers of being wrong for believing? What a lot of people don’t want is to know there is a God all-powerful that they can’t control, but who is capable of controlling them. We can offer them alternatives or at least a lot of diversions.”

   

     A few centuries passed and every demon had enjoyed a lot of success on their missions when Lucifer called another of many such meetings.

      “You’ve all done very well, but there is a new world and new tools to play with, so we can utilize new strategies now too. As you know, Jesus is in the picture now. He is God’s Word made Flesh; God incarnate. God made Himself into a man and lived on earth for 33 years until He died on the cross to take all sins away for mankind. We’re really in trouble as a whole demonic realm because everyone who believes in Him and accepts His salvation will be spared from our fiery pit and allowed to live eternally in heaven. Anyone can go to Him in prayer and ask forgiveness and accept this salvation, no matter how bad they are or how much they have sinned. We have to do something to prevent as many people from going to heaven as possible. Our job is to take as many souls with us to hell as we can, so they will have to suffer torture for eternity along with us. It’s time to step up our action. Jesus is coming back soon to get His people and we are running out of time.”

     “Remember when moving pictures came on the scene and we were able to hone our craft? It took us awhile, but we really managed to get quite a foothold. Then television came and again we were somewhat slow to start, but TV has really

helped all of you. There is hardly a TV show in which most of you are not represented, especially our lust and strife force. Pornographic department, you have made your way successfully into not only movies and television, but books and magazines as well as stores centered around the filth and pornographic trade. I have some new ideas I would like to run by you too. There is something called the computer that will hit the world soon that will enable you to infiltrate every corner of the globe at the same time to everyone that has a computer. This means private homes, too. We have a whole new field of potential coming, but it’s still a bit in the future.

     “Right now, there are drugs being made available and this will be huge for us. They are little-known now, but you can infiltrate them into every country, city and many homes. Demon of strife, this is an excellent opportunity for you. You are to have no mercy.
     "Demon of self-destruction, this will be a big boon to you as well. Alcohol has been great and will continue to be, but drugs will be far-reaching and very addictive, as well as available in many forms and more will continually be introduced. You can get kids and adults involved and, like alcohol, it will cause continual devastation in the lives of those it touches, both directly and indirectly. It will be huge and allow people to be convinced of a lot of things that aren’t real too, even such as seeing things that aren’t there. It will give them a false sense of confidence and security. They will do anything to get it, even destroy or abandon those they love. 
     "But remember too, God has a plan and purpose for everyone's life and theses substances will derail those plans ande keep God's purpose for those people from being fulfilled for as long as the person uses them. 
     "In addition to going after adults, always target the youth whenever possible, without exception to anything we have discussed. This goes for each demonic order. If you catch and influence people when they are young with pliable, impressionable minds and hearts, they aren’t so likely to reject it, but embrace it and it sets them on a course, becoming a more ingrained part of them that will be very difficult to get out.

     “One word of caution though. If someone commands you to leave, in the name of Jesus Christ, consider yourself driven out; you must leave immediately. (Luke 11:17-18) Also, know that if someone puts on God’s armor as is depicted in the Bible in Ephesians 6:11-18, you cannot penetrate that. Those who pray God’s armor over themselves are off limits.”

     “And another thing: I’ve come up with a fairly new strategy too. In earlier centuries, we went for everything we did having our trademark of evil. But now I think it would also be very effective to present our deeds in the form of good things, things that help people. This isn’t to say these things would really help them of course, but it will cause them to fall for certain things like white magic, wicka and other false religions because of the good things they appear to be doing on the surface. People will say such things can’t be bad because they do so much good; casting good spells, etc. Don’t you see? Then we get them to believe in the wrong things and put their faith in them, argue in their favor, convince others of the same. Remember, the main focus is to divert people’s attention from the truth; from God and Christ and eternal salvation by whatever means we can. This is one of my most clever and deceptive ploys if I do say so myself.”

 

     The demons went out and did their work well. One day several years later, as they were having a discussion among themselves, they reflected and laughed over some of their past misdeeds.

     “I really didn’t think we had much of a chance with some of that stuff Lucifer proposed at those meetings,” Deception confessed. “Like when he wanted me to get into the brains and hearts of those cult leaders and their followers who listened to them. I doubted the possibilities of things like a bunch of people following some lunatic enough to drink poison Kool Aid and killing themselves, or that other group committing mass suicide by thinking their spirits would be whisked away by some space ship or comet.”

     “But it’s happened through the centuries with delusional people convincing others of nonsense they accept as truths. It started with people worshipping idols and non-existent gods that can’t love back, reminded Treacherous. “That’s what gives us our confidence. We build and learn with each success. We count on people’s vulnerabilities and not knowing God’s Word, but also man’s desire for power and all the other things we specialize in, like greed, lust, strife--all that evil stuff. If we can keep people from focusing on God and Jesus, that’s our main goal. We’re running out of time because Jesus is coming back soon, so we have to be rampant. The more people that find out about Jesus and His salvation plan, the more we lose for ourselves by their going to heaven instead. God always keeps His promises because He’s about truth, light and hope. We don’t have to do that. We’re about deception, darkness and evil, though, like I said, that can be cleverly disguised. The more time that goes by, the better we get. We can change and adapt to the times because we have more tools as time goes by, like media, drugs and Internet now. God is the same, always. He plays by the same rules, offers the same salvation and looks for the same in everyone, playing no favorites except if they are made sinless through the blood of His Son on the cross. He even has a good purpose for everyone that’s born. One of our missions is to destroy that and cause people to stumble by sinning, backsliding and getting interested in the wrong things. I think we’re doing a great job, but we can only be successful by deception and trying to keep people from learning the real truth. Anything that diverts attention and faith from Christ is what to go for. Now let’s get to work.” Treacherous concluded.

     Satan overhearing, reminded them, “Eph 6:12 warns that man is not fighting against flesh and blood, but against the powers of the dark world. That would be us. So let’s go get ‘em.

    "I Timothy 4:1, 2 says in the last days the devils will have their own following, resulting from false teachings, liars and those whose consciences have become so seared from their                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           abuse; their own abuse, they can’t recognize the truth. The key is to strategize. Figure out what people need and want and how they might get to it, then do whatever you can to stand in their way of happiness, especially when it comes to God's plan for their lives and for their believing in Him."
