Imagine a journey to Bethlehem
At the time just after the Christ child’s birth;
A bright star heralding the miracle
Of God’s son coming to mankind on earth.
Imagine the joy of seeing the babe
By following that which the star helped them find
With Mary and Joseph at the manger
Knowing Christ was the savior of mankind!
Imagine the comfort of knowing for sure
That born now, was our savior; Emmanuel.
Never more would mortals have to feel alone;
For Christ would always be with them—all was well.
Imagine the grandeur of heaven’s domain,
More magnificent than all one can behold
Here on God’s firmament with their mortal eyes
Then there, to witness God’s holy city of gold.
And imagine
Being loved beyond human understanding,
Being called a child of the Creator’s own,
And then arriving in His holy kingdom
For an eternity mortals can call ‘home.’
