Sunbath
Sandy Dickson
A tourist in Spain at a hotel
Went up to the rooftop to sunbathe, they say,
And it was so secluded up there,
She decided to go back up the next day.
It was secluded just like before,
So she thought to acquire an all-over tan,
She would remove her suit and lay flat,
So, lying facedown, her sunbathing began.
Soon she heard footsteps coming closer,
And grabbing her towel to cover her body,
She saw the manager standing there--
He was the same man she’d seen in the lobby.
“Ma’am, we don’t mind your sunning yourself,
But could you put your suit on like yesterday?”
“Why?” she asked, “It’s very private here,
Because it’s so remote and out of the way.”
“No one can see me up here,” she said.
He shook his head saying, “That’s not quite right.
I’m obligated to inform you
You are lying on the dining room sky light.”
